Standard & Poor's Announces Changes to S&P 600 U.S. Index; BFS to move to S&P 600
The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company Inc. (GAP) will be removed from the S&P SmallCap 600 index after the close of trading on Tuesday, December 14. The company has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company's place in the S&P SmallCap 600 will be taken by Saul Centers Inc. (BFS) after the close of trading on Friday, December 17. The index will trade with 599 constituents until that time
